Tomorrow morning at 4:30 am EST, Am and I will arrive at the airport to shuttle through and get ready to depart for our mission trip to Belize. We are so grateful that Amber's mom and dad and our niece, Shelby, have come out to watch the boys for us while we are down there. We leave tomorrow and will be back next Saturday. Please pray for us and for the boys. I'm sure Amber and I will be missing them a lot more than they will miss us. We will have lots of pictures to post when we get back.

Happy Easter!
We finally have learned the magic of Bubbleshare! Oh the ease that it brings to picture sharing! We had a great Easter with the boys. It was a lot of fun and full of chocolate. Enjoy the pics.

Oh The Madness!!
Other than Christmas Day itself, Amber and I celebrate like it's Christmas two additional times each year. One of these extra Christmases is devoted to the first Saturday of the college football season. The other is today and tomorrow, days commonly celebrated as March Madness. Our home is a sports crazy home, as anyone who reads this blog or knows us, should know. With college sports especially being a passion for Am and me, our boys are naturally gravitating towards this as well. Ever since I printed out my brackets on Sunday night, Asher has been asking me when we could fill his out. Now although I consider my son well above the average intellectual curve, I mean what parent doesn't, I know he has absolutely no clue about how to fill out a bracket. His idea of picking a team depends on if he knows someone who lives in that state or if the school name sounds funny.
However, this morning as we were filling out his bracket, he almost made me weep with joy. We were picking the East region, a region where he has no high seeds advancing. I tried to help him to make sure that at least all the 1 and 2 seeds moved on a little. However, the 2 seed in the East is Tennessee. When it got to picking that game, Asher said with total confidence that he wanted to pick American, Tennessee's first round opponent. I tried to get him to get him to switch, but he wouldn't. Finally, I asked why he wouldn't pick Tennessee, and he said, "Dad we don't like Tennesse, we like Alabama!" These are the moments that make me weepy and filled with such pride for my little guy.
May you and yours enjoy this joyous holdiay season.

John Dallas Thompson is here!
My two day trip down to Georgia and back was quite the whirlwind, but I am now back to the real world of mommyhood! Yesterday went just like clockwork. Laura went in to be induced around 7:30 Monday morning and had Baby Johnny at 12:20 pm!
Here's his stats: John Dallas Thompson
8 pounds 13 ounces (the smallest Thompson baby so far!)
20 1/2 inches long
Everything went so great and little Johnny is so sweet. He's already been nicknamed "Peanut" and "Scrappy" as compared to his sister and brother he is definitely the little guy! Unfortunately big sister Anna and big brother Paul came up to get their first peek at Johnny this morning after I had already left to head back to Raleigh so I wasn't able to get any pictures of them :( Anna was SO excited though when we were showing her pictures of him last night. She said next time she wants a sister! (We just won't let Laura in on that one yet!) It was such a blessing to be able to be there. As far as the home front.... all the Hickman boys fared quite well (including Daddy!) He actually said Nate was more content to just hang out and play then he ever is when I'm home! And OF COURSE all three boys took wonderfully long naps all three afternoons! Isn't that how it always goes!

Georgia, on my mind...
Sorry for my lack of blog posts lately. Things have been pretty crazy around our house... and getting crazier! Tomorrow I will be driving down to Georgia to be with my girlfriend, Laura, as she will be having Baby Thompson #3 Monday morning. We have had the privilege of being with each other (or shortly thereafter!) for each of our baby's births. And now counting Baby Johnny, it will make six between us! She is scheduled to be induced at 7:30 Monday morning so I am leaving tomorrow to ensure being there before the baby is born this time! It will be a quick trip down and back as I will come home Tuesday morning. Blake will be holding down the fort here at home and will experience many quality "daddy time moments" I am quite sure! If you live in Raleigh you may want to check in on him and make sure all are still alive :) Seriously though, I know they will have a great time! I will post pictures when I get home.

No More Peas Please!
These pictures really tell the whole story so I don't have to give you very much dialogue.... We have been attempting to break the will of our picky eater who so far has been complying extremely well after just a few minutes of "kicking up quite the fuss'! The funny thing is, he's actually starting to LIKE the foods we've been making him eat!
