Caleb's Trip to the Tea Room

The Kindergarteners at Grace study different countries and right now they are learning about England. Last week they got to go on a field trip to a tea room in Sanford, NC and pretend they were drinking tea with the queen.
Here is Bubbs all decked out in his proper English hat ready for the bus ride (first time the kindergarteners got to ride on the new buses for a field trip so they were pretty excited!)
Ready for tea
He was so cute wanting to try a little bit of everything... instead of strawberry lemonade he wanted hot tea from the teapot. He LOVED the scone with cream and ate most of his fruit parfait.... minus the cantaloupe (can't say I blame him!)

Sweet Briana.... I loved her hat!
Graham's mom read us a book about having tea with the queen
This is Caleb's teacher Mrs. Whelpley and his assistant teacher, Mrs. Taylor (sipping her tea)
Hmmmm.... mischievousness! Wonder what he's up to?
Mrs. Whelpley's Kindergarten class (minus 5 kids who were out that day!)
Caleb and his favorite buddy Thomas, back on the bus for the ride back to school!

Pumpkin Carving

Blake has enjoyed carving pumpkins with the boys the past two years in a row. Last year he carved/ traced a very detailed picture of Yoda from Star Wars. This year he chose the more simpler path and let Caleb draw and design the face for the the jack 'o lantern.
Asher's turn with the guts!
YUCK!
And Caleb's.... I think Nate passed when it was his turn.
Excited boys

Ode to a Shark

Not to forget about sweet baby Maddox.... since he didn't really match the Mario theme, I had my own photo shoot with just him!

He couldn't figure out what in the world I was doing!

It's Mario Time.... Again!

So you may be thinking these costumes look vaguely familiar... you're right! Much to my boys dismay and their pleas of "Mom, you're supposed to be something different for Halloween every year", we broke out our Mario attire again this year. Although we were joined by a newcomer, Wario.... Halloween was a bit of a bust this year as we were all VERY sick the Thursday and Friday before the fall festival (I'll spare you the nasty details...) and then on Halloween night, trick or treating was a wash, literally! It started raining that afternoon around 4 and didn't stop until 8:30ish.... so no trip around the neighborhood for our boys.
Luigi, Toad, Wario, and Mario
It looks like Caleb is trying to perfect his Italian accent
Love this picture of J with his tongue
The three older boys did go to the fall festival up at church, but sadly I still wasn't quite recovered from our bought with sickness and I kept Judah and Maddox home with me. So we did get enough candy... I for one am actually very glad we didn't come home with the loot we usually do, because it is NOT fun rationing all that candy for all of November and then ending up throwing whatever is left of it away when we start getting ready for Christmas!
Nate was dead set on doing the "Wario face"

Kindergarten Mexican Fiesta

Okay... note to self.... NEVER forget my camera for school stuff again! I HATE that my phone was the only thing I had to get pictures of Caleb and his classmates at their Mexican Fiesta and doing the Mexican Hat Dance!
Seriously, you can barely tell which one is him!
C and his partner, Brianna.
Lining up after breaking open their piƱata!

Mom's 34th Birthday at.... CHUCK E. CHEESE!!!

Since my birthday this year fell on a Tuesday night and Blake and I weren't planning on going out together just the two of us to celebrate until the following Thursday (Thank you Ashley!) Blake let me pick where I wanted dinner from on my actual day (Oct. 11) We NEVER go to Chuck E. Cheese... actually our boys have never been to the one here in Raleigh, but I knew they would LOVE it. Much better than going somewhere and trying to keep them at the table happy and content!
They were super excited... as evidence by Nate's expression :)
I forgot my camera that night so these pictures are from my phone. I didn't get very many :( Boo.
