Li'l Cubbie

Our church is offering an Awana program for the first time, and Asher was just old enough to join in on the fun. Here he is sporting the latest in Awana fashion, his blue Cubbie vest. He was as proud as he could be to get this last night. In Awana you have to earn everything, so before he could get his vest he had to memorize three verses and the Awana motto for their meeting last week. I asked Amber if the people who wrote the curriculum knew these kids were only 3. He did all of it though and earned his vest. Last night was better as he only had to memorize one verse. We'll keep you posted on the all the Awana happenings.

Nate's Dedication

Today was Baby Dedication number three for us! Nate was the youngest of our three boys when he was dedicated, so it was a little easier to hold him up in front of everyone since he wasn't to the squirmy stage yet! He was dedicated along with about 20 other babies at our church this morning. Nana and Papaw were able to be here with us for Nate's special day which was a blessing to us.
The job of raising three boys has already proven to be tough, but rewarding and we wouldn't want it to be any other way! God in His goodness has chosen us to be the parents of Asher, Caleb, and Nathaniel and it is our prayer and hope that they would come to know Christ at an early age and live their lives for Him.

Family Tradition

This is a picture of Asher, Caleb and Nate's Uncle Stu (my brother) and cousins Cole (right) and Evan (left). Just in case anyone wondered, it really is a family thing for us Hickman's. Stu will be doing his part in person this Saturday night in Tuscaloosa as the Tide take on the Dawgs.

Gameday!!

Okay, so we know we are almost one full week late, but cut us some slack; we've got three kids now. Here are some pics from last Saturday. Bama is off to a great start. Now that the cream puff is out of the way, hopefully we'll find out more about this year's Tide team with Vandy up next. This ain't yo' grandmama's Vandy team. They could, theoretically, beat us. After Appy St. last weekend, I don't take any games for granted. Enough, drivel, on to the pics.

My boys with their game faces on.

We have a new Saturday morning ritual. Amber insists that for us to enjoy football this fall, Asher and Caleb must have some time to blow off some steam before College Gameday comes on at 10 a.m. So far with one week down, it worked. These are pictures of the boys playing at a newly remodeled park near our house. Praise God it is within walking distance.
