Tag You're It!

Well I have finally succumbed to being tagged. My friend Erin sent these to me and seeing as how all the questions were about food I couldn't resist....

1. How do you take your coffee? Definitely with cream and sugar, although Blake is slowly trying to wean me off of sugar. About a year ago he decided to start drinking his black (which he still considers to be one of his greatest accomplishments!) I am not now, nor think that I will ever be tempted to join him in that!

2. What is your restaurant genre of choice? Seeing as how the first two restaurants that come to mind are Macaroni Grill and Olive Garden I would have to say Italian.

3. If you had to eat the entire cake, what kind would it have to be? This one is kind of hard for me because I can never see myself eating an entire cake. It would either be chocolate or angel food cake.

4. What kind of cook do you consider yourself to be (i.e. gourmet)? It would NOT be gourmet that's for sure. Cooking has never been a favorite of mine, but lately I have started to enjoy it more as long as the recipes are fairly simple.

5. Eggs for breakfast? I never make them, but love to eat scrambled eggs if we are out for breakfast somewhere.

6. Are you an adventurous eater? Not really. I'm one of those people that has a favorite tried and true thing on the menu at each restaurant we go to.

7. Would you consider yourself a food snob? I'm not really picky, I just know what I like and what I don't!

Now Jamie, Megan, Kristin, Brittany, and Laura O. you're up next!

Six Months!

Nate turned six months on February 9th and got to go have his first studio pictures taken! I loved taking him as he is still so little that he doesn't put up much fuss and better yet, can't crawl off the table! He did so great and here are some of the ones we got to select from. I cannot believe six months has gone by so quickly! He had his checkup yesterday... 16 pounds 11 ounces (30th percentile), 27 inches long (50th percentile), and 16 3/4 head circumference (can't remember percentile) Of course, what well baby check isn't complete without those lovely shots. He did great though and was pretty happy the whole time (minus the shots!) I even had to interrupt his afternoon nap for our 2:15 appointment! We love you Baby Nate!

Valentine's Pictures... Take 23!

OK... so every year around Valentine's Day, I take a snapshot of the boys and include it in our cards to friends and family. Each year it has gotten trickier to capture a "happy" moment as my children keep increasing! While Blake was out of town Monday and Tuesday, I decided to tackle this project and get it crossed off of my "to do" list. I tried to catch a good moment in the day and as you can tell from the pictures below, the good moment went downhill quickly! I was determined to try and make it work as I had put the boys in the clothes I wanted them in, etc. As is typically the case, Asher and Nate were very willing and compliant while Caleb was another story altogether. To tell you the truth, I don't even know what was wrong with him and I don't think he did either. Needless to say, we didn't quite catch that Kodak moment during the first session, but I thought it would be fun to display our attempts!
I tried having them hold the signs, but that was not happening....

Pitiful... just pitiful!
Finally!
(Notice the different clothes and different setting.... it was a different day!)
